I am thankful for opportunity.
I am thankful for all of the support given freely by so many – friends, athletes, family and others in Austin and around the world.
I am thankful for my friends and business partners: Johnathan, Ben, Karen, Jessica and Ingrid.
I am thankful to be able to live the life that I live and do what I truly love doing.
I am thankful for my family. They have always supported me 100% without doubt or question.
CrossFit Jääkarhu – the building, the idea, the community – means everything to me. It is the reason I wake up and my inspiration every single day.
It is crazy how much can happen in a year. Thanksgiving is a wonderful time for reflection on all the blessings that one has been giving. One of my favorite “food for thoughts” is, “What if you were only given the things you were thankful for yesterday”. Puts things in perspective, doesn’t it?
I am beyond thankful for my family, boyfriend and friends. Their never-ending love and support (no matter what I get into voluntarily and involuntarily) is far greater than what I deserve.
I am thankful for Jessica Estrada, Mike Winchester, Ingrid Kantola, Ben Flores and Johnathan and our newest adventure, Karhu. I cannot think of a greater crew to grow and develop myself as a person, athlete and business owner with. The passion we have for Crossfit Jaakarhu, gives me opportunity and an even greater future.
I am thankful for my athletes. They make a lot of things possible for me and mean more to me than they will ever know.
I am thankful for health. Without your health, you are nothing. Recently my health has been challenged. My body’s ability to fight, conquer and recover makes me a lucky girl.
There are so many things and people I am thankful for. I have had a very blessed life with wonderful family and friends. I am most thankful for my parents. They gave me every opportunity possible growing up and supported me in whatever endeavour I chose to embark on. I am thankful for my friends, old and new. I have learned valuable life lessons from all of you. I am thankful for my athletes and the JääKarhu Community, without y’all I wouldn’t be where I am today. We truly have the most amazing community and I can’t thank y’all enough for your trust and support I am thankful for my team, the heart and soul behind CrossFit JääKarhu. Karen, Ingrid, Michael, Ben and Johnathan, thank you for sharing this dream with me. There is not another group of individuals I would want to be on this journey with. Thank you and I love y’all!
I am thankful for the good health and wellness that continues to surround me and my friends and family—even with bumps in the road, healing and recovery prevail.
I am thankful for the support for CrossFit Jääkarhu. The outpouring of encouragement from so many people who want to see us succeed is overwhelming.
I am thankful for my business partners: Michael, Jess, Karen, Ben, and Johnathan. Sharing a vision isn’t an easy task, but it is worth it!
I am thankful for all of the new experiences of the past year and all of the lessons I have learned along the way. I never knew that I would learn so much in a year and I am grateful for all the new knowledge!
I’m thankful for every new day that I get to see. For the opportunities that have been opened up to myself. I’m thankful for my past experiences and for the people who have come before me and took the time to mentor and teach me.
I’m thankful for my family. Most importantly my mom. She’s always been my backbone. She taught me how to work hard and what it meant to work hard. She’s always supported me and talked me through situations I definitely thought were end of the world situations.
I’m thankful for my business partners for believing in me. For allowing me to be along on this journey we’re on. For making me want to be a better coach and an over all better person.
Lastly I’m thankful for the amazing Karhu community. For believing in a vision and for standing up for that vision. For trusting us as leaders and allowing us to help shape their lives and their kids lives.
It’s been quite the year for me and for many. Many of the people I have interacted with this year have gone through a great challenge or change. This collective period of growth has shown me so much about myself and the company I keep. I am grateful to be counted among the CrossFit Community at large and CrossFit Jääkarhu. The people of CrossFit Jääkarhu are a special bunch to me. It is beyond my capabilities to describe how much their support and involvement fuels my drive to help make their desires a reality.
Thinking about what I am grateful for is an overwhelming activity. There are so many people who have influence my joy, some without even knowing it. I am thankful for the opportunity to travel and experience life outside what’s comfortable. My support system … my family … close friends, words cannot convey my thanks.
I am thankful the opportunity to live life the way I believe it should be lived—the ability to try new things, make mistakes, continually learn, push to improve and make an impact. Ingrid, Michael, Karen, Ben and Jessica are leaders of a shared dream that I am grateful to be a part of.
This list could go on for a while. It’s hard to narrow it down and cover everything … but if you are reading this now, you have a slice of my gratitude. Thank you.
